In my opinion, there is only one certainty in life. That certainty is, that death is inevitable. No matter how fit and healthy we keep ourselves, our health and wellbeing will deteriorate as we age. There is no amount of medicine, prayers or wealth that will sway us away from that fate. With this information in mind, does it change your outlook in life? Do you ignore this fact and convince yourself that death is so far away that you got time and delay living?
My take on this matter.
The sooner we accept that death is inevitable, the quicker we will learn how to live. We will realise that every second that we draw breath is precious and that we should make every breath count.
Should I focus my energy making lots of money and accumulate wealth?
Well, you can’t take wealth with you, can you? But you can pass on wealth to your children… but why would you want to? A little bit of a struggle teaches people to be appreciate the little things. This appreciation teaches tolerance and makes them distinguish between the fortunate from the less fortunate. Accumulating wealth does have its perks i.e. make life a little bit more comfortable for the ones left behind.
So what’s the point of being fit and healthy if we’re going to die anyway?
Great question. Being fit and healthy allows us to stretch ourselves further in order for us to achieve more, whatever our goal in life may be. Our clarity, focus, and endurance are greatly improved if our health and fitness are at optimum levels.
Always put your health and wellbeing as your number one priority and enjoy the journey that life brings.
